Dyspraxia can impact significantly on an individual’s ability to engage in activities of daily living as follows (this is not an exclusive list).

  • Grooming
  • Washing and dressing
  • Eating and drinking
  • Leisure pursuits

This may present at the individual being stuck at a stage in a sequence of a task, e.g., continually brushing one side of their mouth. Or lifting an item of clothing but being unable to put it on, despite having the physical ability to do this and/or an understanding of what they should be doing.
